Flags are at half-mast today to commemorate National Peace Officer Memorial Day. Peace Officers Memorial Day is held annually in the United States on May 15 in honor of federal, state and local officers killed or disabled in the line of duty. It is observed during Police Week.
The Lost Pines Artisans Alliance (LPAA) is taking the lead on the 2013 Smithville application to become a designated Cultural District through the Texas Commission on the Arts.
