Full-Time Clerk

The City of Smithville is currently seeking applications for two full-time positions as clerk. Positions are full-time with benefits. Applicants must have a High School Diploma/GED and valid Texas Driver's License. Computer skills, General Office and Customer Service experience preferred. Positions require flex hours. Peace Officer

Peace Officer: The City of Smithville is currently seeking applications for Peace Officer. Applicants must possess, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid State Drivers’ License without record of suspension or revocation in any state; ability to meet Department’s physical standers. Formal application, education and experience; offer of employment; psychological examination; drug screening. Position works on assigned shifts using own judgment in deciding course of action; is expected to handle difficult and emergency situations while patrolling the city streets, parks, commercial and residential areas.
