NOTICE TO BIDDERS

City of Smithville will accept sealed bids to provide all labor, limited materials, services and equipment necessary for, or reasonably incidental to, the Work shown in the Construction Drawings for RFB#26-001 City of Smithville 12.49 kV Garwood Park Reconductor (Labor Only). The Bid Documents may be obtained free of charge at the City of Smithville’s website, https://tx-smithville.civicplus.com/bids.aspx and via https://www.civcastusa.com. To download bid documents and to submit questions, at the CivCast USA website vendors must have an account setup. To register, please visit the CivCast website and click on “Create Account”. 

A MANDATORY Pre-bid Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at City of Smithville, 317 Main St., Smithville, TX 78957, to familiarize the Bidders with the goals for this project.

Bids shall be submitted no later than April 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Bids may be submitted electronically to the CivCast website.  The city will only accept electronic proposals.  Bids will be opened and publicly acknowledged at the same date and time virtually via a Teams meeting (meeting information available in the bid documents). Questions may be submitted in writing through the CivCast website until March 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. An acceptable bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany each bid.
