Garbage Rates

Garbage Pick-up Map (PDF)

Residential: All Residents residing within the city limits of the City of Smithville will have a 96-gallon trash cart provided by Waste Management and will pay a monthly garbage collection charge of $48.50 for Twice-Weekly Pickup. A customer can add another 96-gallon cart for an additional charge of $6 a month. Up to 4 yards of residential bulk waste will be picked on the last Monday and Tuesday of the month but not placed in your alley until the night prior to these two days. This is included in your monthly charge.

Bulk Waste: Furniture, bicycles (without tires), refrigerators that have CFCs removed by a certified technician, stoves, brush, and other oversized wastes that are customary to ordinary housekeeping operations of a residential unit and whose large size precludes or complicate its handling by normal solid waste collection, processing or disposal methods. each bulky waste item should not be larger or weigh more than two persons could safely lift and deposit Into the collection truck.

Residents living outside the city limits who have city utility garbage pickup services will pay a monthly collection charge of $50 for twice-weekly pickup.

Weekly garbage pickup for the Northside will be on Monday and Thursday.

Weekly garbage pickup for the Southside and the Hill will be on Tuesday and Friday.

Commercial and Industrial- Hand pickup, twice per week: up to 120 Gallon container: $45.00 per month.

Commercial and Industrial (Outside City Limits)-hand pickup, twice per week: up to 120 Gallon Container: $85 per month
